SBDC to host business workshop in Maysville
Morehead State University Small Business Development Center at Maysville will offer a workshop titled “Software for Success Quickbooks 2009.”
It will be conducted at the Maysville Community and Technical College, room T202, on June 14, 16 and 21, from 6 -8 p.m.
Quickbooks is one of the most widely used small business accounting software tools on the market. The workshop will be a hands-on class for new or experienced users.
As a new user, participants will get in-depth insight into how everything works by doing actual entries and then putting to work the many features of this program. Instead of just listening to a lecture and hoping to remember all that is said, students will be guided in mastering the basics.
As an experienced user, students will be able to add to and improve existing knowledge. Having had some experience working with Quickbooks, participants will easily pick up many new tips and tricks and expand your knowledge of how the program works.
Training programs, sponsored or co-sponsored by SBDC, are available to all individuals without regard to race, color, sex, creed or national origin. Special arrangements will be made for those with disabilities if requested in advance.
Seating is limited and advance registration is recommended. The cost is $59 per person; some scholarships are available to those who qualify.
